2016 Liberty and Justice for All Dinner - Special Honoree - Honorable Edward Romaine
From TouroLaw Media on June 16th, 2016
At the Annual 2016 Liberty and Justice Dinner, Touro Law presented the Hon. Edward Romaine with the 2016 Elected Official of the Year Award. The Hon. Romaine has been involved in Suffolk County as an elected official since the 1980s, initially for 16 years as the Suffolk County Clerk and then for 11 years as a member of the Suffolk County Legislature before being elected in November 2012 as the Supervisor of the Town of Brookhaven. His son Keith was a member of the Touro Law Class of 2003. Each year Ed Romaine attends Touro Law's Winter Alumni Reception to present the Keith Romaine Elected Official Award to an alum in public service - that award has gone to, among others, Congresswoman Kathleen Rice'91, to New York State Senate Majority Leader John Flanagan'90, to Keith's classmate Brookhaven Town Councilman Dan Panico'03 and last year to the Judge Deborah Poulis'88 of Suffolk County. The Hon. Romaine has been a good friend to Touro Law Center.
